David Sleeman recently attended the Recruitment & Employment Confederation’s (REC) Parliamentary Reception at the House of Commons, representing Parker Jones at an event focused on the vital role of the UK labour market.

Held on 5th February in the Thames Pavilion, the reception brought together MPs and industry leaders to discuss the recruitment sector’s £44 billion contribution to the economy and its impact on employment rights and opportunities across the country.

Guests heard from REC leaders about the upcoming Employment Rights Bill and explored regional data at the event’s ‘Data Station’. The REC also highlighted its Voice of the Worker campaign, showcasing how recruitment can open up opportunities for people from all walks of life — including those with disabilities or caregiving responsibilities.
